2026 Klee Prize: AI Makes Monitoring of Premature Babies More Human

Frankfurt, June 24, 2026

The Klee Prize is awarded annually to support early-career researchers in the field of medical technology. 

The first-place winner for 2026 is Dr.-Ing. Simon Lyra, recognized for his work on a project that could enable the monitoring of premature infants without the need for skin-based sensors.

The Chair of Medical Information Technology extends its congratulations.

The prize will be awarded at the BMT conference in Augsburg on October 6, 2026.
